Mike Powell

As a modern folk singer and songwriter, Mike Powell is a storyteller at heart.  Powell is a veteran wordsmith capturing moments in time with over 200 songs written.  Dozens have made their way to his recordings spread across the course of five records released within the last nine years.  Many others find their way into his solo sets or those with his bands including, his current project Mike Powell & The Echosound.

As a solo artist, Powell crossed the country multiple times sharing his stories with a guitar in hand before he settled in Upstate New York.  This setting is a stone's throw from the Adirondack Mountains and where he built Rising Feather into a premier brand centered on woodworking and other hand crafted items. 

We worked together in 2018 and 2019 through the recording and release of the EP Shelter Without Walls, a double live album The Full Nelson and some northeast touring including a sold out hockey arena in Watertown, New York.
