Safe was Josh Coy, Jeff French (both of Long Since Forgotten), Jay Trovato (Bad Bloom) and Bryan Schlenker. The record Cinematic Ocean was recorded from January to July 2012 and released on three vinyl variants by Aux Records. Drums were recorded at the Hollow Recording Studio in Syracuse with bass, guitar and vocals recorded in various New Jersey apartments. Alan Douches at West West Side Music mastered the record. Cinematic Ocean personifies early 2010s emo/indie rock.
The band rebranded as Sympathy and endured a few lineup changes along the way so less than 500 copies of the vinyl album branded as Safe exist. We have some in the Aux archives and will share them here when they are available.
