Stephen Gage is a songwriter hailing from small town America who has now settled in Nashville. Fresh out of college, and graduating in a recession, Stephen had no other choice than to follow the music.
By the age of 22, Stephen set out across the United States on his first tour fronting his former band, signed a record deal overseas, and a year later obtained his first publishing deal with Arthouse Entertainment/BMG. His initial discovery came while living in Los Angeles by Bruno Mars' manager, Josh Levine, who signed him to Arthouse's stellar roster.
After spending time in California hustling for opportunities, Stephen returned to New York to continue collaborating with his longtime writing partner, Ben Scala. The pair spent a few years perfecting their songwriting craft working on everything from television placements, to helping craft songs for friends that would ultimately land those friends a major label record deal.
Stephen cut his teeth day in and day out, continually working on music for artists across all genres, while quietly crafting and combining pop with his love for country. His rarely releases songs as an artist, though 2016 saw him quietly release "Kiss and Break Up" (co-written with Scala) and recorded at Sony Tree Studios and The Record Shop in Nashville with Gio (Sean Giovanni). Writing and performing has consumed much of the last year while in Nashville, including a stop at the legendary Bluebird Cafe.
